Yep, the ingredients are correct – it’s a large cake, and a simple cake, so it’s a standard ratio!

Could I please ask if the ingredients are correct? I don’t think I’ve ever made a cake which needed 7 eggs. (or ratio of). I love the way the recipe is detailed but do need the amount of ingredients confirmed.

I love this cake have been using it for about a year and have had great feedback. I have frozen it a few times (only half the bake 😋) Today I’m trying it with an orange and Cointreau, it’s still cooling so not tried it yet.

I do a lot of baking. When I first saw this recipe I wasn’t sure how the ingredients ratio would work. However I need not have worried. The traybake worked out so well. The sponge was light and airy and the lemon drizzle was perfect. Thank you.

I’ve made this twice now & it is absolutely delicious! The first time I made it, it served so many people!!! Second time I halved the ingredients, again it was fantastic. Exactly the same cooking time when halving the ingredients. Thank you for such a wonderful recipe
